Today I have for you a report on my Nadia’s April birthday party on the occasion of her 12th birthday…. (2019). I have prepared an extensive photo report (as many as 28 photos!) from this special day…. ?
For many, many years I have been organizing themed birthday parties for my Children, Adam and Nadia…. This time the theme Nadia chose herself, much earlier. I always came up with the theme of the party based on my Children’s current interests and it was kept a strict secret by me until the birthday. This year, however, Nadia wanted to choose the theme herself, and it fell on Panda – with one small caveat: the cake was to be a combination of Panda and Unicorn – because there is a Pandacorn fad right now (yes, yes, there is such a thing as a Pandacorn – don’t ask me where from?!, and how?!, and why?!, BECAUSE I DON’T KNOW ???)…. and Nadia is delighted with it ?So there was no way out, I made a Panda cake and improved the unicorn golden horn! And that’s how the Pandacorn was created!
For this I made various sweets, of course the Pandas themselves, but undoubtedly the hit was the Panda sushi…. ? I found the idea for it on the Internet (HERE LINK) and I knew it was an absolute must have for our party! Nadia and the other Kids went straight crazy at the sight of it…. ? Anyway, last year the rainbow Unicorn sushi was also a bestseller ?
Under the photos below I describe each treat, and here’s what I prepared:
– Pandacorn cake
– oreo Panda mini cakes
– buttercream Panda cookies with icing
– Panda vanilla panna cotta on a brownie bottom
– Panda macarons with mascarpone
– Panda sushi
– Panda cake pops
– chocolate Panda cupcakes with cream cheese frosting
In addition, I served popcorn, candy, jelly beans, marshmallows, pizza (which the children had to bake on their own from ingredients I had prepared beforehand), fruit salad and fruit drinks.
I kept the whole thing in a black and pink atmosphere with white dots, and the main “job” was done by beautiful (foil) tablecloths. Adam helped me prepare a birthday banner in a computer program, which we then printed and hung on decorative ribbons. From the Internet I also downloaded free toppers with Panda for straws and for long toothpicks, as well as bottle bands and mini posters for photo frames. The whole thing was completed with straws imitating bamboo and plates in bamboo leaves and obligatory with Pandas, as well as cute white flowers and a photo of Nadia in a frame. There were also black and pink dotted balloons, a huge Panda balloon and delicate garlands….
This year at the birthday party we had an international mix of guests: in addition to children from Poland, there were girls from France, Turkey, Italy and Ukraine, as well as Albania. Their faces when they saw the prepared table were brilliant, they were happy and delighted with everything and unanimously said that they had never seen such a birthday before ? But the most, as every year – and most importantly – delighted was my Nadusia…. ? The sight of her laughing eyes was, as always, priceless…. ?
The moment when the door opens and Nadia or Adam walk into the living room on their birthday, and look for the first time with anticipation and undisguised joy at the birthday table prepared by me, is magical…. I love it… then all the fatigue of the last days goes away…. ?
And now I already invite you to look at the photos!
The view across the table…
Pink ombre Pandacorn cake chosen by Nadunia: five soft tops layered with a delicious orange cream cheese custard (I made the same flavor cake for a previous Unicorn party – Nadia liked the cake immensely, so I repeated it this time as well)
Panda butter cookies with icing – crunchy and delicious, also great as a farewell gift for guests – just wrap them in a piece of transparent foil and tie them with a ribbon ?
Last year, the hit of the party was unicorn, rainbow sushi… This year, it couldn’t be any different and that’s how Panda sushi was created! An absolute hit of the birthday party again! It looks complicated, but I promise you it’s really easy to do. Well, tell me, don’t these faces look adorable? ?
Delicious mini Oreo Panda cheesecakes… Cookie base, creamy cheese mass with pieces of Oreo cookies and decoration made of sugar paste and powdered, ready-made eyes.
Chocolate Panda cupcakes with mascarpone cream and whipping cream, sprinkled with coarse sugar to decorate cakes and cookies…
Delicate, vanilla Panda panna cotta on a moist, very chocolate brownie base… It was delicious, but the sugar paste didn’t cooperate with it ? (Quite quickly, the Pandas’ eyes started dripping down the dessert (because sugar paste doesn’t like moisture). But I knew Since the kids eat the Pandas quickly anyway, I stuck to finishing the eyes and ears with putty ?
Tiny Panda cake pops – from the recipe for a butter cake, covered with milk chocolate, decorated with chocolate peas… Delicious… ?
The party included macaroons – traditional, layered with mascarpone – these are what my children love the most… ?
Popcorn in beautiful paper boxes… ?
Beautiful paper straws made from bamboo. I attached panda faces to it that I had previously printed out and cut out…
A beautiful birthday banner made entirely for Nadia by my Adam ??
Beautiful, slim, gold candles, perfect for the cake…
Cake fountains are a must (we call them cake firecrackers ?)… And in the background: Pandas who didn’t want to cooperate, apparently tired of the party… ?
Cake in cross-section: five pink ombre cakes and an orange cream based on cream cheese – finished and decorated with butter cream and sugar paste… ?
This ends my extensive photo report, I hope you enjoyed this year’s birthday of my daughter…? ?
