Welcome to my blog! I’m Ilona Koziol, photographer and food stylist. I come from beautiful Poland, and I live in Germany, in peaceful and picturesque Bavaria. I’m married and I have two children, 19-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter, and this blog was created with them in mind – as an online diary and notebook with their mother’s recipes, which – I hope – they will use with pleasure and sentiment for years…
On my blog I create not only recipes, but above all photographic stories that appeal to all the senses… I believe that home-made meals do not have to be boring and repetitive – prepared with love and care for Family and Friends, they can always be beautiful and full of flavor. and colors… And even the simplest dishes can turn into a culinary, sensual and sexy feast for the eyes and palate…
In my kitchen you will find a diverse selection of delicious, home-made dishes from all over the world – healthy and full of flavors. Starting from fresh salads and aromatic soups, through filling savory dishes, to tempting pie, heavenly cakes and lots of desserts. My blog is a compilation of the flavors of my childhood, the best recipes of my mother and grandmother, recipes I cut out from an early age from culinary magazines, as well as the most interesting recipes from cookbooks from around the world and the Internet, and above all, my own, original ones, created over the years. in the home kitchen… Sometimes I bake a mess, sometimes I oversalt the food or add too much spicy spice – but in the end my dishes are always worth sinning…
If you are looking for proven, simple, sometimes more demanding, but above all delicious recipes, you couldn’t have come to a better place… I am convinced that my recipes will delight you and you will enjoy cooking with me. If you have any questions or doubts about the recipes on my blog, you can always leave a comment or write me a message – I will respond as soon as possible. Anyway, I appreciate every little comment from you!
The kitchen is my greatest passion… There is no greater magic for me than cooking and baking… My culinary journey began at the age of 8, when I started helping my mother in the kitchen. Every day, every year, cooking became the most pleasant and very important activity in my life. Over the years, I’ve baked countless cakes and cooked a lot of good food… And I haven’t gotten bored yet : )
I like combining different ingredients, learning and trying new dishes, both traditional and modern, I love spices and herbs… My culinary world is fresh and colorful, I also love sweet temptations, which is why it is full of the best cakes, cakes and desserts. My great hobby is decorating cakes and organizing themed birthday parties, mainly for my children and family. I dream of my own studio… – who knows what the future will bring in this regard : )
Thanks to the blog, I not only discovered my love for photography and food styling, but also collected a huge collection of the most beautiful dishes and hundreds of kitchen utensils – this is undoubtedly a “small” side effect of my passion : ) The older or worn-out the dish, the better, because such items have soul. and thanks to them I can always tell a different story in my photos… I love searching for styling tips in stores and on the Internet, going from dumpster to dumpster and finding old items – “real treasures” that no one wants anymore, and I give them new ones life in my photos… I like to renovate old chairs and boards, which you can also see in my photos.
I spent most of my professional life working for foreign corporations, and although I have really great memories of that time, my life revolves around photography and cuisine. Currently, I find peace and a few hours a day of reset in dealing with cardboard (who knows, knows : )) , and I devote all the rest of my energy to my blog. In my free time, I read books, learn calligraphy and… I’m in the clouds… Oh yes, I’m second to none in this! I don’t know another dreamer so detached from the earth : ) I love dancing, laughing and having crazy fun, but at the same time I am extremely introverted, I don’t like crowds and shopping malls, and I find the greatest joy within my 4 walls.
I hope you will enjoy your time on my blog and stay with me for a long time… It won’t always be perfect here, maybe sometimes you won’t even like a recipe, but I assure you that I will do my best to ensure that you find everything here what you need to become a culinary master in your home kitchen…
Much love
Ilona
